Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of projects do you handle?
Tactical Home Services helps with a wide range of small- to medium-sized home repairs and improvements, including doors, trim, drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, shelving, hardware, fixtures, caulking, deck and gate repairs, weatherproofing, accessibility updates, furniture assembly, and household to-do lists.
Can you help with several small projects in one visit?
Absolutely. Many homeowners save time by keeping a running list of repairs or improvements. We are happy to help tackle one project or work through several items during the same visit.
Do you provide estimates?
Yes. Reach out by phone, text, or through the estimate form with a description of your project. Photos are always helpful. We will talk through the work, timing, and next steps before getting started.
Do I need to provide materials?
That depends on the project. We can discuss whether you would prefer to select and purchase materials yourself or have us help source the right items. Either way, you will have a clear plan before work begins.
Do I need to be home while work is being completed?
For an initial walkthrough or first visit, being home is usually helpful. After that, arrangements can be discussed based on the project and your comfort level. Your home, privacy, and peace of mind are always treated with respect.
Do you handle accessibility and home-safety updates?
Yes. We can help with practical improvements such as grab bars, handrails, improved lighting, minor safety modifications, and other updates that make daily life at home easier and safer.
What projects do you not handle?
Tactical Home Services focuses on handyman repairs, maintenance, and practical home improvements. Large-scale renovations, structural work, major roofing, HVAC, and specialized electrical or plumbing work may require a specialist. If your project falls outside our scope, we will be straightforward about it and help point you in the right direction when possible.

We proudly serve Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Roanoke County, and nearby Southwest Virginia communities. Not sure whether you are within our service area? Reach out—we are happy to check.
